Martha J. Dawson
With more than 20 years of practice focused on commercial and complex litigation, Martha co-leads K&L Gates' e-Discovery Analysis & Technology Group. As a former trial attorney, she understands the important role that document requests, proper document production, and the management of documents play in litigation. Martha's experience directing discovery teams in document-intensive litigation has allowed her to develop and expand skills in managing large document cases, including, specifically, the more recent phenomena of electronic discovery. She is a nationally-recognized speaker on electronic discovery issues and an active participant in such organizations as the Lawyers for Civil Justice and The Sedona Conference. David Cohen is a partner in the Pittsburgh office of K&L Gates where he co-chairs the firms’ e-Discovery Analysis & Technology Group. Helen is a partner in K&L Gates' Seattle office and has been a member of the firm's e-Discovery Analysis & Technology Group since 1999. She practices general commercial litigation in federal and state court, and has litigated a wide variety of cases primarily on behalf of corporate clients. Tom has practiced at K&L Gates since 1987 and is a partner in the Firm’s Pittsburgh office. His practice concentrates on complex commercial litigation, including insurance coverage, environmental and toxic tort matters, and is a member of the firms’ e-Discovery Analysis & Technology Group. Tom regularly counsels clients in matters involving complex records preservation and collection issues, litigation “holds,” e-discovery, and records management and retention policies.
